Darcy Dawson, Director of Counseling Services, sends those words of encouragement to each of the students this year.
Need a tutor?
Head over to the Academic Success Center (ASC) in the Communications building and talk to Brooke Sullivan, our Tutor Coordinator.
Tutoring is free for all students via one-on-one appointments, drop-in tutoring and group sessions. Tutors are current students that have done well in the classes in which they tutor.
Having IT issues?
Quinn Stryker, the Director of the Service Center, is your go-to person for IT help. Find her in Perkins Library for specific IT contacts.
Need safety assistance?
Russ Hewitt, the Public Safety Director, is here for you 24/7. The Safety Office is in the basement of Communications.
Looking for academic support?
Beth Jacobson, the Director of the Academic Support Center and TRIO, is available in the ASC Office for all your academic needs.
The ASC team provides support and resources for you to successfully balance school and life. They coach students on study strategies, note-taking, goal-setting and more.
TRIO Student Support Services empowers students who are first-generation, have limited financial resources, or have a disability, by providing individualized academic resources, transformative experiences, and skill development to create equitable educational opportunities for students to thrive at Doane.
Need health services?
Andreea Baker, the Director of Student Health & Wellness, and Jody Yank, one of our Registered Nurses, are located in Perry Campus Center for any health-related needs.
Got questions about CAPE (Campus Advocacy, Prevention and Education Project)?
Jaden Hilkemann, the Director of CAPE, is your go-to person for all CAPE-related inquiries. CAPE's goal is to increase trauma-informed networks of support for survivors of interpersonal violence while decreasing incidents of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking through inclusive prevention and education programs.
Feeling stressed?
Darcy Dawson, the Director of Counseling Services, is here to help with mental health support. There are three full-time professional counselors on the Crete campus who offer in-person and Telehealth services. The Counseling Center is in Padour Walker on the residential campus next to the Financial Aid Office. Counseling services are free and there is no limit to the number of sessions.
Looking for career opportunities?
The Career, Leadership & Service (CLS) Office has amazing staff like Stephanie Hemje, Sarah Begay, and Quint Geis ready to assist. You can find them in Perry Campus Center, across from the Dining Hall.
